Empire

Every empire must fall

and hit the proverbial wall

When it reaches goals of greed it cannot retain

The People rise up, start to fight back and complain

How can we let the Government, Corporations and Banks dictate our fates?

As we sit in our houses and stare at our plates

Never wondering why they are so overwhelming full

No normal person’s reality goal

Too much to bare

The bar is set too high

Now, many people must suffer and die

In order for us to see we’ve over extended ourselves

The land of fruit and plenty has become a living hell!

For those of us who care and want to provide

We let others raise our children’s hides

and they’re becoming strange —

Wonder why?

Work till ya die!

Oh, was that your husband or wife in those pictures

before their brains were fried?

What a shame —

What a waste of a perfectly good life

We have to go on but not at this pace

We need to find a new way to be

To take back this land and space

To replenish the energy and hope stolen

by Government, Corporations and Banks

who’s smiling veneers are golden

Retirement lost

Were did it go?

Oops!

Computer malfunction…

Oh, who the hell knows?

It’s strange not much has changed after all these years

People are still being exploited and oppressed through fears

You’d think we’d gain some knowledge by now

Every Empire must fall

This one will too

I just don’t exactly know how

But as I see you all standing your ground

I think I have a good idea of just how —

How the fall might happen now
