Original idea

If my ideas are all like someone’s else, how can I be original? Everywhere I see similarities, so what is an original idea?

I finally searched about the word. I have this concept in my mind I didn’t think it was enough to cover what I pursued. It was like…

It’s different from what I see. It came from me, so it can’t be a copy.

For a long time it survived that way. But then, whenever my idea looked like another’s, what I had didn’t value as original. Thinking deeply, I reached a conclusion where every idea have came from somewhere else, so how can any idea be truly original?

I don’t know. The word itself is a skeptic. It’s all delulu? So, at certain point, I gave up. No person is really able to conceive original ideas, that was my conclusion from a few years ago.

Then, on a beautiful day, I saw this video where it affirmed 2 things may be happening to me:

1. All ideas you have today may not be only from you.
2. An idea to come from you need to have a start, a development and a conclusion, or at least, a temporary conclusion.

I gave myself time to check my thoughts. Indeed, I had some heritage thoughts from others, like: the world is cruel, it is scarse of opportunities, so you should never reject an opportunity. It came from my parents, not from my experience, since the conclusion was already made. I did agree with them because I was having a hard time to redirect my life, but I still could see opportunities. Thus, I couldn’t agree totally.

The second affirmation made me connect with my incomplete meaning of “original”. Basically, If I have grown my own seed, it’s an original idea. Thus whenerver I have arguments and a logic behind it, it’s original. And It doesn’t matter if it’s identical to another person’s propose.

The second word I searched, which I used as a synonym of original, but it isn’t: authentic. From the online dictionary, it is understood as truth, verified or legitimate. I was thinking Its definition is more like…

It has a distinct personality or characteristics, and it stays true to that.

I guess I loved to create concepts on words! Because, actually, it is not really that, as you can see.

After reaserching, I feel less stupid and I can use those words properly now. Great I decided to do it. I didn’t want to demean myself, but I admit I make poor choices sometimes. Not because I’m blind or something, it’s really a way to sabotage my ways and prove to the world I’m not capable, not matter how much time and effort I give back.

I want to do this kind of thing more times. Break my walls and renew my beliefs. I think they are the reason I seem stuck, even if I’m not.

We never are stuck, to be sincere. Afterall, time never stops, right? I understand the opposite thought though.
