The 3 nutrients that make sure you never get the work done

I took my phone… again.

Exam in two days. Everything I needed to study was sitting right there on the desk.

But I just… couldn’t.

My eyes would land on the page and just slide off. I’d read the same paragraph three times and retain nothing. There was this heavy, foggy feeling that made even the idea of concentrating feel exhausting.

So I picked up my phone. Not because I wanted to. Not because I didn’t care about the exam. Just because it was the only thing that didn’t require anything from me.

I’ve always told myself the same story when this happens. That I’m lazy. That I don’t have enough discipline. That other people have more willpower than me and that’s why they can do what I can’t.

I would watch productivity videos, try to fix my mindset, make new schedules, set alarms, write goals in journals.. and then fail again. And again.

Ever had that feeling? when you have things you genuinely want to do. Plans you’re actually excited about. Goals that aren’t just for show, they actually matter to you. And yet when it comes time to sit down and do the work, something stops you.

You feel slow. Unmotivated. Foggy. Like your brain just won’t cooperate no matter how hard you try to push it.

You blame your mindset.

You blame your habits.

You blame your phone.

But what if the problem isn’t any of that?

What if the problem is inside your body?

Ever since I’ve found about this and fixed it, my focus has improved like 10x and I feel more energetic than ever. And I’m surprised that I never thought about it before..

I found out that I was deficient in some very essential nutrients, you would expect some health symptoms to show up when you’re deficient in nutrients but that’s not the case in these…

These deficiencies don’t show up as dramatic symptoms that send you to a hospital. They show up as brain fog. Fatigue. Low motivation. Inability to focus. Feeling lazy even after a full night’s sleep.

That sounds very familiar doesn’t it? The same problems that I was blaming my will power and mindset for.. were actually a problem of my body. It wasn’t even getting the nutrients to function properly, how can you expect it to perform complex or challenging tasks.

These are the top 3 that most people are deficient in, and that have the most effect on the mind :

  1. Vitamin B12 — Studies indicate that up to 80–90% of vegetarians and vegans may be deficient in vitamin B12. As it’s found in animal products only.

B12 is directly responsible for how well your brain and nervous system function. When you’re low on it, your brain literally cannot produce energy the way it’s supposed to. A lot of people who think they have a “focus problem” actually just have a B12 problem.

You can get it through meat, eggs, and dairy, or just take a supplement if not that. It’s one of the cheapest fixes there is.

  1. Vitamin D — Most people are deficient in this one and have no idea. Let’s be honest, how often do you stay under the sun, even when you’re outside? not much you know..

Low vitamin D is directly linked to feelings of depression, low motivation, and that general “I don’t want to do anything” state that you probably blame on laziness or a bad mindset.

Get some sun in the morning. Add a supplement. It sounds too simple to matter but the difference it makes is real.

  1. Magnesium- This one is probably the most overlooked. Magnesium is involved in hundreds of processes in the body, including the ones that regulate your sleep quality and your ability to handle stress.

When you’re low on magnesium, your sleep isn’t actually restoring you even when you sleep long enough. You wake up tired. You feel tense without a reason.

Get nuts, seeds, dark chocolate, leafy greens, or a basic supplement before bed to fulfill it.

Just to clarify, I’m not a doctor, I’m just telling my experience and the things that actually worked and helped me get my work done.

If you want personalized solutions, visit one.

Maybe you’ve been trying to solve the wrong problems all along… it’s not the will power, but your body that needs the fixing.

Go get your levels checked. Fix the basics. Give your body what it actually needs.

Then sit down and do the work.

Cheers,
