Love’s elusive In the lost and found Stay reclusive Make no sound. Or try again Replace the loss And to regain The line to cross. Searching for A love now gone Opens the door To times bygone. Repeating words All said before Is for the birds Flat on the floor. Love’s shadow In a lightning storm Flooded meadow On a sultry morn. Love is lost What will it mean? What is the cost Of hurt unseen. In the mist Of early morn Lips once kissed Are now forlorn. Have you gone What is the price I’ve undergone And tossed the dice. Please come back My heart yearns so And back on track We both can go. Love is so rare So hard to find Tender loving care Of the same mind.
