017-EN:Reading is Rewarding: People as Books

To me, a person is just like a book. A hundred different people bring a hundred different flavors and interpretations.

Naturally, I enjoy savoring them. You can interact with these “books” — sharing your story with them while they share theirs with you; or you can simply watch in silence as a book performs its own narrative.

It is a fascinating process. I am constantly adding content to my own pages; sometimes it is written well, other times, poorly. The reactions of those reading me change accordingly. Some might eventually stop reading altogether and never touch this book again for the rest of their lives.

Sometimes, a book is left in a corner for years before someone returns to savor its quality. Or, I might simply focus on writing my own book well, letting others be.

Regardless, opening a book is always rewarding. What is written remains a choice of the heart. It does not dictate how you write your story, nor how others choose to read it.

I only care about what kind of book I am becoming. Interesting, truly interesting.
