Day #3 of Intermittent Fasting and Other Random Stuff

I’ve been working on improving my titles, can’t you tell?

I’m back again with another exciting update of my intermittent fasting journey. Everything is going amazing and I’ve never felt better. I feel almost as good as that camel.

Actually, it hasn’t been too bad.

I made it all the way to 1:30 pm yesterday before I started questionining my life’s choices. My feeding window is between 2 pm and 10 pm. I’m not sure if that makes me sound more like an animal or a vampire.

I do drink one cup of coffee in the morning with a little bit of cream and Splenda because it’s obviously a much healthier alternative compared to sugar. If that’s cheating, oh well. I’d rather dig around in my cat’s litter box than drink black coffee.

I had planned on writing a quick post yesterday, but I was too busy hanging out in the doctor’s office. No worries, I went in for my once every two decades checkup for routine bloodwork to make sure all of those Cheetos haven’t caused any permament organ damage. Everything was good except that my blood pressure is a little high, and I get to go back in a couple of weeks. (yay!)

Have I put you to sleep yet?

Okay, let me talk a little about this amazing writing platform instead of going through my medical history and violating HIPAA laws.

Anyway, if I keep posting more often, I may need to find another publication or I risk going over the dreaded 300 monthly article limit. If you didn’t know, that’s one of the qualifications for being in the new Editor Partner Program. Last month, Never Stop Writing barely went over it, which means I get to miss out on the extra $50 or whatever I would have earned from receiving 25% of the published articles’ earnings.

I think the 300 article limit rule is really dumb.

Unlike a lot of the bigger publications, I actually vet my writers and I don’t mass-publish AI content or the countless get-rich-quick junk. Medium wants us to focus on growing our publications, but how am I supposed to grow my publication or be more active when I’m already penalized for having an active publication?

You also have to meet these requirements for the past three out of six months, so does that mean my publication might not be eligible until October since I’m pretty sure I’ve always gone over the 300 article limit?

By the way, I’m totally not frustrated, Zulie @ Medium. I just prefer being honest and direct. Or maybe I’m slightly hangry. I only have 4 hours left before I can experience what food tastes like again.

Anyway, I appreciate you all reading about my fasting update, medical history, and my mini-rant about this platform. I’ll be back again soon. Maybe?

I’m also going to include a random old article again because it worked so well last time.

I literally had one non-member read it, so I’m hoping to have similar success. If you have a few extra minutes, feel free to find out how one activity for about half an hour can help you with writing. (Sorry, I really need to work on my promotional skills!)
