Getting Rid of Parasites

Another trend of modern times is all kinds of detoxes, cleanses, and hyper-hygienic procedures. People sip smoothies instead of eating real food, tea has been replaced with matcha, and there are now so many cleansing procedures in cosmetology that it’s impossible to list them all — and most people don’t even fully understand what they are.

Maybe some of it is beneficial, although I think there should always be a golden middle. But what is interesting is this: why do we approach the cleanliness and detox of our bodies with such enthusiasm and efficiency, yet rarely apply the same approach to the cleanliness of our minds and our lives?
Most people are overloaded with unnecessary meetings, conversations, chats, and subscriptions to thousands of channels. Our garages are packed with useless things we bought but never actually used. Our minds look the same: a mess of news, social media, fears, and unnecessary people with their own problems.
But do we really need all of this?
The Pareto rule, 80/20, says that 20% of efforts, people, or actions produce 80% of the results. Which means we could calmly get rid of 80% of everything without feeling any real loss — and in return gain something much more valuable: space, clarity of thought, and mental order.
