Have you ever cried quietly at night because your life no longer feels like you anymore?
Maybe lately you’ve been waking up feeling emotionally tired even after doing everything “right.” You go to work, reply to messages, scroll through social media, and finish your responsibilities… but deep down, something feels off.
The things that once excited you don’t excite you anymore. Certain friendships feel draining. Your usual routine suddenly feels empty. And sometimes you can’t even explain why you feel disconnected from your old life.
It can feel confusing because from the outside, nothing dramatic may have changed. But internally? Everything feels different.
If you’ve been feeling this lately, you are not alone. A lot of people experience this phase before stepping into a more abundant chapter of life.
Many people think abundance only means money. But sometimes abundance doesn’t begin with success or money. The true abundance is much deeper than that. Sometimes it begins with discomfort.
And honestly? That phase can feel confusing.
If you are in a similar phase right now, take a deep breath. These are not random feelings. These are not coincidences. Right before everything changes, life gives you quiet signals.
If even one of these signs feels familiar, your life may be shifting in ways you don’t fully see yet.
Sign 1: You No Longer Feel Like Your Old Self
One of the biggest signs of inner growth is when the version of you that once felt comfortable no longer fits anymore. Maybe you used to define yourself through the following:
- Your career
- A relationship
- Being productive all the time
- Pleasing people
- Looking successful
- Being “the strong one”
But now something feels different.
You no longer want to perform constantly. You don’t want to force yourself into spaces that drain you. You are starting to question who you really are beneath all those labels.
And honestly, that process can feel scary.
Because when old identities fall away, it can feel like you are losing yourself. But maybe you are not losing yourself. Maybe you are finally meeting your real self.
Growth often begins when we stop trying to become who the world expects us to be.
Sign 2: You Crave Peace More Than Validation & Attention
This is a huge shift. Earlier, maybe you cared a lot about proving yourself. You wanted people to admire you, choose you, validate you, and notice you.
But now?
Peace feels more attractive than attention.
You no longer want to constantly explain yourself. You don’t want to compete with everyone. You don’t want to exhaust yourself trying to impress people who don’t truly see you.
Instead, you want calmness. Authenticity. Real relationships. A peaceful mind.
And this shift changes everything.
Because when you stop chasing approval, your energy becomes lighter. You stop forcing life so much. You stop living for appearances. And strangely, that’s often when opportunities, relationships, and abundance begin flowing more naturally toward you.
Sign 3: You Feel a Strong Pull Toward New Direction
At some point, survival alone stops feeling enough.
You may still go to work. You may still handle responsibilities. But deep inside, there’s a growing feeling that says
I want my life to actually mean something. You start craving fulfillment, not just income.
You want to create. Help people. Express yourself. Build something meaningful. Do work that feels aligned with your heart.
This doesn’t mean everyone has to quit their jobs and become spiritual coaches or entrepreneurs overnight. It simply means your soul wants deeper connection with what you do every day.
A simple way to think about purpose is this:
Imagine you already had enough money for the rest of your life. After the vacations, shopping, and comfort… what would you still want to spend your time doing? What would make you feel alive?
That answer often reveals more about your purpose than you think.
Sign 4: You Have Experienced Scarcity or Financial Struggles
This might sound strange, but many people go through intense periods of lack before they step into abundance.
Maybe you struggled financially. Maybe money constantly stressed you out. Maybe you felt insecure because your bank account didn’t reflect the life you wanted.
And while that phase feels painful, it often teaches you important lessons.
It forces you to look at your relationship with money. It makes you question whether your self-worth depends on your income. It teaches resilience, gratitude, and emotional strength.
Sometimes life strips away your attachment to external security so you can build inner security first. Because if abundance comes without emotional maturity, people often lose themselves in it.
So if you’ve gone through difficult seasons financially, don’t automatically assume you are failing in life. Sometimes you are simply being prepared for more.
Sign 5: You Feel Both Excited and Uncomfortable at the Same Time
Have you noticed this weird emotional mix lately?
Part of you feels anxious, uncertain, and emotionally stretched. But another part of you feels hopeful. Expanded. Almost excited for what’s coming next.
That usually happens when you are growing faster internally than your mind can fully understand. You are stepping into unfamiliar territory.
And growth almost always feels uncomfortable before it feels beautiful.
The hardest part during this phase is surrendering.
Not giving up. Not becoming passive. But learning to stop controlling every single outcome.
Sometimes life unfolds better when we stop forcing timelines and start trusting the process a little more.
Simple things like:
- Spending time in nature
- Sitting quietly without distractions
- Journaling your thoughts
- Meditating for a few minutes daily
- Taking breaks from constant noise
…can help you reconnect with yourself again. Because clarity often comes in silence.
So if some of these signs resonated with you, maybe your life is not falling apart like you think. Maybe you are simply outgrowing an old version of yourself.
Abundance is not only about becoming rich overnight. It is becoming emotionally aligned with the life you truly want. And sometimes the first sign of abundance is not money. It is self-awareness.
Peace, authenticity, purpose, and the courage to become who you really are.
Your old life may feel uncomfortable right now because it no longer matches the person you are becoming. And that’s okay.
Growth rarely feels comfortable in the beginning.
Sometimes before life improves externally, something shifts internally first.
And one day, you may look back at this confusing phase and realize it was the exact moment your life started changing for the better.
