I Really Don’t Care About Your “Reasonable Objections” to Pro-Trans Policy

I have reasonable objections to ANTI-trans policy but no one wants to hear me out.

I’m sorry but one side of this fight has power. One side has the Supreme Court, which is an unelected body whose members effectively can’t be removed and who have lifetime appointments. One side pushed over 1000 laws against me and my community last year.

One side KEEPS insisting it’s the victim even when no sane person would believe such a thing.

“Your inability to compromise is how you got here.”

Oh okay, so Trump’s compromising? He has full power even after he tried to take the country. Even when he lied about Haitians. Even when he offered nothing during campaign season and outright admitted to a lot of the policy we’re seeing now outside of the actions in Venezuela and Iran.

“Trans people are unpopular, you have to work with the majority. Be practical.”

And Trump doesn’t have to because he’s the majority right?

What if I said that this current wave of hate has NOTHING to do with us and everything to do with people’s ignorance?

What if I said crime is down but people insist it’s too high?

What if I said people blame immigrants for inflation and the poor economy but immigrants are responsible for neither and even HELP the economy?

People wanna believe Covid was created in a lab and it’s the one part of Covid everyone seems to agree on even though scientists don’t.

People love to believe in their own, convenient version of reality that exempts them from blame, from complicity.

They love an easy target to point and yell at.

It doesn’t matter what the minority does, it will always happen. THAT is why Trump has power even though he offered nothing of value.

“Compromise” is just a way of me preemptively giving up with no hope of return for doing so.

In December 2024, NCAA President Charlie Baker said he knew of less than 10 trans college athletes of the total 510,000 in the NCAA but this STILL ended up before the Supreme Court. One of the cases they evaluated for their latest decision involved a trans girl who’s literally the only athlete in her state and has never even been on testosterone.

Where’s the “nuance” in all that?

I’d think the compromise would be allowing trans girls that never entered puberty to compete but apparently that’s a step too far.

Nothing is ever enough.

If there’s gonna be a fight no matter what I do, excuse me if I’d rather go down fighting back.
