Manosphere Men Are Increasingly Getting Divorced by Their Wives, and the Irony Is Comical

Looks like the chickens are coming home to roost.

Who would have thought that consuming manosphere content could be detrimental to your love life?

Like… literally anyone who has ever been in an even semi-functional relationship.

Yet, these manosphere bros keep buying into the idea that hyper masculinity is the cheat code to attracting loyal, subservient women.

A fact made all the more ironic by a recent New York Post exposé revealing that many of them are getting divorced by their wives.

The report details divorce stories of three women: Anni Kim, 33; Rachel, 40 (not her real name); and a 34-year-old entrepreneur who wanted to remain anonymous due to an ongoing legal battle.

All three married husbands who at first seemed great until they weren’t.

In Kim’s case, it started with a period of career uncertainty for her husband, which prompted regular misogynistic comments about her appearance and statements about how a woman’s place is in the kitchen, coupled with reminders of how lucky she was to have him. All while Kim was working overtime to support him while he was in medical school — an irony that seemed to evade him at the time.

With Rachael, it was less about the outright misogyny; rather, it was about him being abusive. According to her, “He was so controlling. I wasn’t allowed in the kitchen. I also didn’t do the laundry right… But he never did the dishes.”

As for the 34-year-old entrepreneur, her story was even more harrowing — not necessarily because her husband was abusive or misogynistic, but more in how the relationship came to its demise. She went through 10 years of blissful marriage with him, with the shift in personality only becoming apparent last year after he experienced an identity crisis that drove him into a financially ruinous obsession with improving his status.

They bought into the manosphere lie

None of these men came to be like this by accident. Every single one of them fell for the manosphere’s highly coordinated ideological campaign led by the likes of Andrew Tate, Myron Gains, Sneako, and co — one designed to convince insecure men they are the true victims of modern society. And that the only way to remedy that is for them to reclaim patriarchal dominance.

It is why Kim’s husband demanded she conform to rigid feminine ideals, why Rachel’s husband resorted to coercive control, and why the 34-year-old entrepreneur husband started to view the relationship as a status symbol that must show a return on investment. Each dynamic is nothing more than a power play driven by the need to be in control.

The only problem with this kind of mindset is that you cannot sustain a functional relationship, at least not with women who have a good head on their shoulders. Eventually, they will tire of the mistreatment the same way these men would tire if someone they loved treated them as inferior.

Hence, the uptick in manosphere-induced divorces, particularly over the last 18 months.

Do as I say, not as I do

What’s so perverse about this is that the same manosphere influencers who promote the alpha male, submissive women dynamic don’t even practice what they preach. It’s all a sham to siphon money from gullible men who feel they are not enough. In fact, many of them are not even partnered. And if they happen to be in relationships, it seldom lasts.

It’s so bad that I can’t even keep track of all the exposés I have written about manosphere influencers behaving one way in public while being the opposite in private. Yet they are still seen as people worth listening to.

Either way, the sooner all these types of men get dumped or divorced, the better. I don’t see any reason for women to subject themselves to such buffoonery. Life is hard enough, and to have it made harder because your partner is a misogynist is not worth the price of admission.

Perhaps hitting rock bottom after losing a good relationship is the exact shock they need to realize the online advice they have been receiving has ruined their life.

If they are smart, they will use that as a catalyst to do better next time.
