OpenAI. has released GPT5. what’s new for developers and why do users complain?

On August 7, OpenAI released a new AI system – GPT5. Thousands of user complaints were received during the day: from the increased number of refusals to process requests to the amount of excess «water» in the responses.

The new model is a whole unified system that is more focused on developers. Key improvements:

🔺Programming

It is enough to describe the idea in your own words: GPT-5 itself will offer the architecture, write the code, assemble the interface and give the finished result of the application.

🔺Creation of API agents

The API has advanced features for creating AI agents. Now the chat automatically collects potential customers from multiple sources, generates a personalized email and sends it.

🔺The volume of the «context window» has been increased to 256k tokens – it’s about 500 pages of text.

For comparison:

GPT-3.5 could only take into account 4k (about 3 pages of text);

GPT-4 is capable of analyzing up to 32k (20+ pages).
