Daffodils- My Favorite Flowers
Rays of sunshine

Daffodils take me back to my childhood. I remember playing in the yard, digging in the dirt, watching things grow. Every year the daffodils in our backyard would burst into bloom just before my birthday. Daffodils come in the early spring. In the Pacific Northwest, they are a welcome burst of sunshine after months of rain.
Up north where the tulip fields grow, there is a preview showing of daffodils. The sun starts peeking through the clouds during the early days of spring. It’s always spectacular. The daffodils are the opening act for the tulips who follow behind them.
I didn’t know there were so many kinds of daffodils. My favorites are the tall yellow ones with yellow centers. Do you have daffodils where you live?
