DeNet Q2 2026 Recap: Ready for Takeoff

Q2 put DeNet in the launch position before entering the market. This was the quarter of final tuning — every part of the mechanism was tested, adjusted, and prepared for the moment when DeNet moves from building to production in a market where secure, sovereign, and decentralized storage has never been more relevant.

The core tests are complete, pre-launch storage sales are open, and the ecosystem is ready for growth and launch.

DeNet Storage Beta: Testing with Real Users

DeNet Storage Beta was a closed, paid testing program. Throughout May and June, 500+ participants from 114 countries uploaded and downloaded files, restored data, tested automatic backups, completed tasks, and shared their experience directly with the team.

By the end of the active testing phase:

• More than 25 TB of data had been uploaded
• 42 Beta tasks had been completed
• Over 12,000 feedback submissions had been collected
• 90% of participants named data security as the key advantage

The main active phase has now ended, but testing continues as the team implements feedback and prepares for the public release in July. The results confirmed that the core system is stable and the product is ready for its next stage.

Datakeepers: Infrastructure in Launch Position

While users were testing DeNet Storage, the Datakeeper network was preparing for its transition to production.

One of the latest Node releases introduced Routing as part of DeNet’s core infrastructure. The network can now keep nodes connected more reliably and move data between them through secure encrypted routes, without central coordination.

DeNet also introduced the Advanced Program — a pre-release environment where upcoming Datakeeper builds are tested before reaching the wider network. Participants help identify issues and improve the stability and security of future production releases.

The team is now rolling out the latest pre-launch updates to the Datakeeper network to bring the infrastructure to a fully production-ready state before real user data starts entering the decentralized network.

DeNet Storage Pre-Launch Sales

Following the successful Storage Beta, DeNet opened pre-launch sales for its decentralized storage.

Users can now buy capacity at a special pre-launch price and activate it once the product goes live in July. DeNet Storage is built for data that needs stronger protection — from personal photos and archives to work documents, wallet backups, and other sensitive files.

Storage is measured in TBY, or Terabyte/Year, giving users flexibility to choose how much storage they need and for how long — with clear, predictable pricing.

AI and Enterprise Storage Solutions in Development

DeNet’s B2C mobile storage is the first product built on Protocol v4, but the protocol itself is designed to serve a much larger storage market — including enterprise long-term data storage, secure backups for AI and beyond.

Throughout Q2, the team was already actively developing these directions. As an early proof of the AI track, DeNet team participated in the Google Gemma × Cerebras hackathon and built a working demo in under 24 hours, using DeNet Storage Protocol to back up agent sessions, training data, and code. Development across these directions will continue as DeNet moves toward a broader product ecosystem — bringing decentralized storage to individual users, businesses, infrastructure partners, and the growing data needs of AI systems.

The First Distributor Cohort

In Q2, DeNet officially introduced a new ecosystem role: the Distributor.

Distributors expand the Datakeeper network, bring DeNet products to local markets, and build long-term businesses in one of the world’s fastest-growing industries: data storage.

During the quarter, DeNet launched a comprehensive selection process. DeNet Academy released a dedicated course exclusively for Stage 50 Watcher Nodes in recognition of their contribution to the ecosystem. Those who completed all lessons, practical assignments, and the final exam were eligible to apply. More than 20,000 people expressed interest, and only 40 were selected across 24 countries.

This first cohort gives DeNet a trained international network of local experts ready to support expansion across new markets. It reflects a principle DeNet has followed from the beginning: decentralization is not only a technological model, but also a model for global growth. And the first sales have already confirmed that the model works.

Community Highlights: Reward Distributions and New Tasks for Watchers

The Watcher network continues to scale, with Watchers strengthening the trust, security, and reliability of DeNet every day:

— Nearly 3 million Watcher Nodes worldwide — More than 800,000 security scans completed every day — Over 870 million scans completed in total

In Q2, reward distributions began for Watchers who participated in campaigns launched by DeNet Storage clients. More than 8,000 Watchers have already received client tokens, with distributions continuing regularly.

A new important task was also introduced: Spread the Word. Watchers can now share DeNet Storage with friends and communities, bringing new users and more data into the ecosystem. They can earn rewards, including an additional bonus for every Storage purchase made through their referral link. Each purchase contributes to real demand for storage and moves DeNet closer to key milestones.

The Watcher role will continue to evolve as DeNet enters its next stage. A major Watcher Node update is already planned to further improve the Watcher experience.

Roadmap Progress: Moving Toward Launch

In Q2, DeNet reached an important roadmap milestone with the launch of the Distributor Program and moved closer to the public release of DeNet Storage.

B2C storage mobile application will be the first product launched on DeNet Storage Protocol v4. More than a consumer product, it marks the public launch of the DeNet Protocol and the beginning of its operating economy. The application connects users purchasing decentralized storage with Datakeepers providing capacity, creating real storage demand and putting TBY into circulation as the protocol’s native utility asset.

From there, the ecosystem begins reinforcing itself. Alongside growing storage adoption through the Pre-Launch Sale, the Datakeeper network continues expanding storage capacity, millions of Watcher Nodes provide an additional layer of verification and resilience for decentralized storage, the Distributor Program brings DeNet products to new markets through regional partners, and Product Experts help shape upcoming products. Enterprise Storage, already used internally by DeNet and scheduled for public release later this year, extends the same infrastructure to business customers.

Together, these participants create an operating ecosystem where users, infrastructure providers, contributors, and distribution partners each strengthen the network through their participation. By the time the Token Generation Event takes place, the protocol is no longer preparing for adoption, it is expanding an economy that is already in motion.

The DeNet Token and TGE

The DeNet token is designed to become the foundation of DeNet’s sovereign economy. It will back the issuance of TBY, replacing external assets and completing the protocol’s transition to a fully self-sustaining economic model.

This architecture defines the sequence of the rollout. To enable a reliable, value‑stable, and safe launch of the DeNet Token, the network must reach a sustainable level of storage demand. The Token Generation Event is therefore not the beginning of the protocol’s economy — it is the milestone that completes its transition to full economic sovereignty.

For the community, this means participating in an ecosystem that is already operating from day one of the token’s existence. Rather than waiting for utility to emerge after launch, early participants continue contributing to — and benefiting from — an ecosystem where users, infrastructure providers, contributors, and applications are already connected through real protocol utility.

DeNet is now entering the final stretch before the public launch of Storage. Only a few weeks remain before Protocol v4 begins operating as a real storage economy.
