That’s a boring way to start, isn’t it? (Well the picture isn’t, but the title is)

Maybe that’s a good thing, I don’t want everyone discovering this.

What’s this though?

I dunno.

Well I do, but I dunno how to succinctly say it it. It’s partly a slice-of-life blogs from the 2000s era internet, back when everything wasn’t so overly corporatized or optimized. More Human, If I may say so. It’s also yet another of my dramatic plans to “change”, to improve myself by accountability. Here, that accountability comes through sharing my progress openly with the world, in all its glory and gore.

But, in large part, this is an attempt at combating this loneliness epidemic, spreading like wildfire, through you and… through me. I’m gonna start by screaming into the void, and who knows, perhaps no one hears it. But I’m an optimist at heart, so I’m gonna trust that there shall soon be those who shout back.

Some Ground Information/Rules

This is what you can expect from me and/or this blog:

A wide variety of topics. Think of me of that friend that gives the most random of rants. If you don’t have such a friend, you’re in for a treat. If you do have such a friend, I’m better. Jokes aside, this is a curated posting of my stream of thoughts, and that might mean anything from deep dives into an obscure match, to why stars are objectively the coolest things ever, to short stories (I write fiction too!), to just talking about shit.

No AI. I love the science behind ML & NNs, but categorically fuck AI usage. I can write on why I hate it, but there are thousands who have written more eloquently on this topic — hell, an AI will prolly give great reasons itself — so I recommend going and seeing all that. Nonetheless, a Summary: I’m a creative (& all that baggage), AI makes my understanding worse, and it’s a tool used to fuck people over. No AI means no AI generated or edited text, nor any other AI generated content (like images or songs). Research will also consist of human or undeclared sources only.

A lot of swearing. Apologies, but there’s just something so <I’m sorry but I can’t find the word that I’m thinking off, and a google search for pleasure from release is giving me “orgasm”> orgasmic about swearing. If you hate my pieces because of the swearing, might I introduce you to this amazing concept called hate-reading?

Rambles, and tangents, and rabbit holes, and meandering. I’m pretty sure those four mean pretty much the same thing, but yea that’s a feature, not a bug. I will ensure it’s coherent, of course. Maybe.

I love em dashes. I have been using them since before AI did, and the worst part of AI using it used to be everyone accusing me of using AI, but nowadays it’s the fact that it doesn’t even use it right!! Like so many places where a semicolon or an ellipsis would have been more appropriate, it chooses an Em dash. I mean, for fucks sake, I’d appreciate it if a Language model can be considerate of this. Anyways, yea, expect some em dashes.

This is not permanent. I plan to make something akin to a website for myself, and I will host the “blog” over there, but I’m someone who would keep delaying this, so I’d rather start something here on medium than delay it indefinitely for a “perfect” website.
