First Steps into Enterprise Architecture with ArchiMate

Understanding how enterprise architecture connects business goals to technology.

Connecting business, application, and technology layers through ArchiMate.

The first class in my MBA in Software Engineering at FIAP was Enterprise Software Architecture & Innovation Journey, taught by Professor Daniel Rosa.

During the classes, we had an immersion into Enterprise Architecture based on TOGAF principles, as well as the creation of architectural views using ArchiMate, the open-source modeling software maintained by The Open Group.

Over the next few days, I plan to share part of what I learned about the tool, exploring its layers and elements (e.g., Motivation Layer → Driver) in a simpler and more practical way.

The idea is to transform concepts that often seem abstract into clearer and more applicable examples within real-world software architecture and project contexts.
