Throughout my successful life, I’ve faced countless obstacles — friction, hardship, failure. I never gave up.

I always chased after my ambitions with relentless determination. Money. Status. Power. Whatever I desired, I always found a way to obtain it.

Still, among all those things, there was one ritual I never compromised on. My birthday.

Every year, I celebrated alone. I would disappear into a secluded beach house or a quiet wooden cabin — somewhere far from noise and chaos.

On that day, I would reflect on my past year. My achievements. My failures. My future plans.

If I wanted to celebrate with my family or friends, I’d do it another day. My actual birthday belonged to me alone.

So this year, I was excited for another day of solitude.

But all of that expectation vanished the moment I turned the key in the lock and opened the door to my private cabin.

The twin barrels of a shotgun pointed straight at my face. My wife stood behind the gun. There was no mistaking the fury in her eyes.

Behind her stood four other women. My girlfriends.

I had no idea how they’d found each other. I’d been really careful about keeping my lives separate.

Some held baseball bats. Others gripped iron pipes. But their eyes burned with the same fury, each waiting for their first swing.

Looking at the situation, I reached a simple conclusion. For the first time in my life… There was no escape. I was trapped.
