A poem for those struggling to breathe

Take a deep breath they say.
But what if you
can’t?
What if Your chest is so FULL with s a d n e s s
that there is no room for air.
Can grief train the heart and lungs to endure more?
What is our capacity? Can we make more space in there to breathe and love ?
Or are we just creating emptiness that nothing can fill?
