Movie Review: Office Romance

Who says dreams do not come true? Brett Goldstein wrote this movie with JLo in mind. There was going to be no other actress for him and guess what? She said yes to the project.

Jackie, a female CEO of Air Cruz, has a strong anti-fraternisation policy for all her employees, but when an English lawyer who works for her company crosses her path, she breaks her own rule and risks her entire career doing so.

The Story

This romcom was like every other romcom. They didn't try too hard to do something new, beyond Jackie being a single CEO who has had her heart broken before and has the board breathing down her neck to resign. She falls for the lawyer and eventually they get entangled and break office protocol. A rival company catches wind of this and gets evidence of the breach, threatening her to resign. She agrees, and during the press conference, he makes a grand gesture, outing both of them and urging her to fight it. She agrees, the company revises its anti-fraternisation policy, they announce their wedding and everyone is happy.

So, this was regular but very much fun to watch. There are scenes that will crack you up because Brett was a clown. It's not the type of movie that impacts your life, but it's a good watch if you're looking for something light.
