The Aleo community is united by the idea of ​​creating a safer internet with a zero-knowledge network that provides privacy by default.

🙌Since the launch of Testnet 1 in 2020, the project has reached significant milestones, including the largest blockchain initialization ceremony, testnets, and incentive programs, validating Aleo’s architecture and economic model.

🙌The community includes over 500,000 Discord members, 10,000 deployed programs, and 300 ambassadors, while the Aleo Foundation has awarded 40 million Aleo Credits and over $8 million in incentives.

These efforts have strengthened the network and fostered an ecosystem of developers, miners, and providers.

Today, Aleo celebrates the community’s contributions to advancing zero-knowledge technology through testnets, competitions, and incentives.

💥Aleo Systems was founded in 2019 to build a platform for fully private applications using zero-knowledge cryptography, and launched Testnet1 in 2020, implementing ZEXE research.

💎In 2021, the Aleo Setup Ceremony took place, the largest multi-party computation (MPC) in blockchain history, laying the foundation for zkSNARKs and decentralized computing.

🔹Testnet2 (2021–2022) validated the network architecture, allowed miners to earn 15 million Aleo Credits, and implemented improvements such as the move to ASERT consensus and the use of GPUs.

🔹Testnet3 (2022–2023) introduced the new AleoBFT algorithm, enabled the launch of ZK programs, and ran the Prover Incentives and Deploy Incentives incentive programs, rewarding participants with millions of Aleo Credits.

These milestones strengthened the network, tested its architecture, and attracted a global community of developers and miners to further develop Aleo.

🤝The Prover Incentives II program in July 2024 was aimed at validating the reward mechanism and testing a new puzzle. Testnet Beta participants received 1 million Aleo Credits for participating.

Aleo is actively developing its community and technology through initiatives such as the Ambassador Program, which brings together over 415 contributors to create content about the network, and ZPrize, a $7 million competition to incentivize the development of algorithms and cryptographic libraries.
