From Paper Leak to Protest: The Voice of Students at Jantar Mantar

A protest that began on 20 June 2026 — carried out by youth and students — their complaint to the government is that the paper leaks and irregularities in the education system must be corrected and an assurance must be given. These recurring irregularities affect the future of millions of children. At the same time, the public questions why the government breaks the trust of the people in so many matters — which raises the question: What is a government? Does it form itself? Does it come to power on its own? The answer is — No. Then how does a government form? It is the people who choose those who come to power — and one does not need any election, any rally, any assistance, or membership in any political party to be part of the people. So who is the government after all? The government is that which fulfills its responsibility toward the people, which ensures accountability toward the people — but after coming to power, those sitting in power forget that they were brought there by the people. It is to remind them of this that such protests are held. It is not as if this is the first protest — countless protests have been held with different demands. Similarly, the protest happening at Delhi’s Jantar Mantar in 2026 is also about a demand for justice. As everyone knows, in the last 10 years, approximately 89-152 paper leak and exam fraud cases have come to light — and because of this, countless students fall into stress and countless students have taken their own lives. So the reason for protesting is that either the Education Minister must assure that nothing like this will happen again — or resign. Now the point is that resignation will not make everything normal again — but this resignation will bring a sense of accountability among the other ministers — that if we do not do our work properly, our resignation will also be demanded. That is why this resignation is necessary.

Sonam Wangchuk’s Support

Meanwhile, renowned scientist Sonam Wangchuk is also supporting CJP founder Abhijeet Dipke and this protest — and furthermore, he went on a hunger strike for the betterment of the country’s education system. The result he received was that on the 21st day of his hunger strike, he was taken to hospital for a medical checkup — for his maximum care — on court orders. The question is — the march is heading toward Parliament on 20 July 2026 — and just two days before that, was it right to take Sonam Sir away like this? Because the protesters have raised the question — why was he taken away at this particular time? So was this an attempt to end the movement — or was it truly just compliance with court orders? And does the government not have a duty to be accountable for the protest — or to listen to the demands being made? After all, what is even being asked?

Resignation of the Education Minister — Taking responsibility for the massive irregularities caused by paper leaks in NEET, SSC, TET, CUET, CLAT and other exams, the Education Minister must resign.

Compensation for Paper Leaks — If any exam paper is leaked or results are delayed, a rule must be implemented to provide ₹10,000 compensation to students.

Transparent Education System — Comprehensive reforms must be made in the education system to conduct transparent and impartial examinations. These are the 3 demands of the entire protest — only from the government. So are these 3 demands so difficult that the entire government cannot fulfill them? After all, if the government does not secure the future of the country’s youth — then who will? If even after such irregularities, the government is not questioned — then what kind of democracy is this? In a democracy, does the government work for the benefit of the people — or for its own benefit? If it works for the benefit of the people — then the government will have to listen to the voice of the people. For this, whether the youth have to protest for 1 month or 1 year — they can do it — this right too comes to them from governance itself.

This country’s governance belongs to the people — and the people know how to claim their rights — whether by walking the path of Gandhi — or the path of Bhagat Singh. Because both paths fall within the domain of the people’s rights. 🙏🙏🙏
