Sometimes I put on my father’s perfume when I feel sleepy, at peace, sad, or lonely.

It reminds me of big white hotel beds in Europe that we’d cuddle in and he’d tell me adventurous stories while my mom was doing skincare in the bathroom.

It reminds me of summer late night walks through small French villages and the cool breeze from little streams. When I was very young.

It was Bleu de Chanel.

And how strange. I have this urge to spray Bleu de Chanel onto M.

I don’t like his Armani perfume. It’s too sharp, too cheap, and too him.
