Is Racism the New slavery?

Racism has existed for years. One can claim it to be exploitation or else just making offensive statements. However, everyone must stand upon one simple fact that it has a devastating effect on the victims. It has its roots originated from slavery. It has existed in the lack of slavery as humans want and desire to fulfill its superiority. It is never natural and has pushed us back in our civilizations. Racism gives birth to segregation and discrimination, creating prejudice which means biases of any specific groups or senses of superiority.

It has been an insect eating our brains and rotting it. Slavery might have ended legally years ago; however, it has been disguised as racism.

Defending it is completely senseless. Some might say it originated from tribes. However, I would like to ask, are our civilizations still stuck in thousands of years ago? The real reason for racism is the “real racists” themselves. Racism got spread by the imperialists. They travelled from Europe and travelled to Africa and Asia, occupying them.

They used to call themselves as Whites, which they considered to be the superior race. They dominated the Blacks by using their physical and military strengths. Their dominance was brutal, resulting in genocide, torture and exploitation of them. Many of the local tribes were extinct. They were the bringers of poverty and miseries.

Imperialism snatched the freedoms and took all the money and resources. It was never part of civilization. Wherever they went, they brought misery with them. South Africa witnessed 200 years of apartheid while India witnessed extreme poverty.

It was the major reason for the misfortunes in these regions. When imperialism collapsed, it left the countries in devastation.

In the present day, the same imperialists are the biggest reasons for racism. Their ancestors brought poverty and in today’s conditions the same people have become racists. This is the hypocrisy of the West.

Such problems are majorly faced by Africans and Indians, especially by the latter ones. Indians are facing such problems in the U.S.A., the U.K., Australia and other Western civilizations. Racism has spread its influence to South-East Asia and even Korea and Japan. Why is such a thing happening? Many will say it is due to resistance against immigration and to protect cultures. Where were such thoughts when colonies used to capture countries and kill people in the most brutal conditions?. Earlier it used to be Blacks and now it is Indians. The question here arises, are Indians the new Blacks?

Resistance against racism should be the new priority. Human complexity has published itself into the new apartheid. It has found new ways to place the so-called upper classes above, just for its psychological fulfilments. This needs to be stopped before it turns to be the new disease of humanity.
