Does knowing me more lead to loving me less?
Does knowing me more lead to loving me less?

It was not love in the first place
From Effort to Apathy: When the Spark Fades and Silence Takes Over
I had thought you were gonna be the one, but it seems like destiny had different plans.
We had grown fond of each other, shared details that others didn’t know about, gave time when we could, and showered efforts. But now that you have me, it appears that you have lost interest.
You stopped making time for anything anymore — except for your friends, who were the only exception. So where does that exactly place me in your heart? It’s as if i am just there, forgotten, unvalued, and unloved.
You were always more concerned with how others saw us as a couple, constantly checking if anyone was watching when we spent time together. While I was focused on you, you were too busy worrying about being seen. I proudly spoke about you to my friends, but you kept us a secret. You made me feel like a fool, and that’s what hurt the most. You intentionally made me jealous, knowing it was causing me pain. It was a game for you, but to me, it was anything but fun.
And now, I can’t help but wonder — maybe, just maybe, you were only there for the thrill of having someone, not for who I truly am. It’s reached a point where I can’t even remember a single good moment between us. You were never certain about me, and honestly, I felt the same way about you. The truth is, you couldn’t even do the bare minimum. I brought up my concerns to you, but nothing ever changed. You wanted things your way, and somehow, I ended up looking like the bad guy for speaking up.
I felt the most worthless when i had you. Partially, it was my fault for letting you treat me badly. I gave you countless chances to change, but you wasted every single one.
I tolerated you, when i shouldn’t have.
Now that we’re no longer together, you’ve lost the significance you once had.
I Fear, i have nothing but regrets now.
Should love find me again, I pray, it’s nothing like what we had.
To whoever comes across this, I hope you experience a love that lifts you, not one that weighs heavy on your heart. Your true love will never treat you as a burden. And no matter what, heal — and open your heart to love once more.
