Very drastically, we make decisions we never thought we would make. But is it always an adverse thing, or is our perception limited to familiarity, which represents what we believe to be a balance?

To utter the word ‘never’ is a death sentence, because that unwanted thought will unarguably reach us, and however much we detest it, it will envelop us at the worst possible moment and without warning. Our ultimate horrors will emerge in the cruel reality. ‘Never’ is a meaningless concept, and what we associate with it is incorrect. When you think that distinct thing will never happen, it most certainly will.

I believe it is wise to keep an open mind. What you are advocating for and selecting will be worth nothing in a couple of years. Because change is a windfall and we are in a process of continuous evolution; whatever personal, mental, philosophical or spiritual.

𝖸𝗈𝗎 𝗐𝗂𝗅𝗅 𝗁𝖺𝗏𝖾 𝗍𝗁𝖾 𝖺𝖻𝗂𝗅𝗂𝗍𝗒 𝗍𝗈 𝗌𝖾𝖾 𝗍𝗁𝗂𝗇𝗀𝗌 𝖽𝗂𝖿𝖿𝖾𝗋𝖾𝗇𝗍𝗅𝗒 𝖺𝗇𝖽 𝖺𝗍𝗍𝖺𝖼𝗁 𝖿𝖺𝗋 𝗅𝖾𝗌𝗌 𝗂𝗆𝗉𝗈𝗋𝗍𝖺𝗇𝖼𝖾 𝗍𝗈 𝗌𝗈𝗆𝖾𝗍𝗁𝗂𝗇𝗀 𝗍𝗁𝖺𝗍 𝗂𝗌 𝗉𝗋𝗂𝖼𝖾𝗅𝖾𝗌𝗌 𝗍𝗈 𝗒𝗈𝗎 𝗇𝗈𝗐, 𝖻𝗎𝗍 𝗐𝗁𝗂𝖼𝗁 𝗈𝗇𝖾 𝖽𝖺𝗒 𝗐𝗂𝗅𝗅 𝖻𝖾 𝗆𝖾𝗋𝖾𝗅𝗒 𝖺 𝗆𝖾𝗆𝗈𝗋𝗒 𝗈𝖿 𝖺𝗇 𝗈𝗅𝖽𝖾𝗋 𝗏𝖾𝗋𝗌𝗂𝗈𝗇 𝗈𝖿 𝗒𝗈𝗎𝗋𝗌𝖾𝗅𝖿.

Change is not fatal, but what threatens our peace of mind is. I, too, have deleted all the mediocre articles I wrote at 19, [2025] because I wanted to be defined by them, whereas today I think they no longer reflect who I am. And so it will be with my thoughts on this article written by my 20-year-old self. And I’m glad of that, because change is the result of maturity; evolution is the process.

It means I will have reached a turning point and will have the mental clarity to recognise a reality that no longer resonates with me. Even if the idea of not knowing what comes next is harrowing, the past will always remain the outline of the drawing and the future the oil paints with which we will colour the picture.

Do not loathe or feel mortified by the person you were years ago, because that version was the most suitable for that time. Without it, you wouldn’t be where you are now. And you wouldn’t have these thoughts that will shape an extensive past and revolutionise a successful future. A book is read from the first chapter, not the last. And evolution lies in the middle, shaped by the changes along the way.

Thanks to my 19-year-old self for taking the situation in hand with the utmost courage and for writing wonderful articles that will inspire my promısıng prospects, even if I do not perceive them absolute or excellent at the the moment.
