Which Foods Are The Biggest Contributors

Black and green teas were the most common source of flavonoids among study participants, consumed by two thirds of the group. Other notable contributors included apples, red wine, grapes, berries, dark chocolate, oranges, satsumas, and orange juice.

Building This Into Your Daily Routine

The researchers concluded that consuming several different daily servings of flavonoid-rich foods or beverages, including tea, berries, apples, oranges, and grapes, may meaningfully reduce the risk of early death and chronic disease.
