Few months ago, I was talking to my friend at hostel.

It was a Sunday evening and we were discussing about life and then came the inevitable question.

I asked, “How’s your day?, Did you do something interesting?”

This friend of mine was the one who gives unpredictable answers and she is very good at cracking jokes, making people on the other side feel at ease.

I expected another fun wrapped answer that day as well.

But this time she replied, “Today I have tried a new Job Simulation”… “What is it?”, I questioned in excitement as I was hearing it for the first time.

I strongly believe that an individual can achieve success, when the person has an opportunity to choose which problem they want to solve for.

Every Job involves problem solving but each involves different path.

If students do not know

1. what the work they are going to do feel like,

then, How are they going to choose anything at all?

when I asked the same Question, I did not get a satisfying answer.

The answer that echoed the most is, another question asking me, “what is the problem in following the path you are presented with, when everyone else is doing the same?”

and that, we will be revealed with the type of problem we would solve for only after we complete our university.

Do you think it’s worth spending years in order to know just reveal the answer for this question? isn’t it an obvious answer everyone should get easily.

When I write this, it is not just another story on medium, I’m writing this to answer the same question that worried me earlier…

This simulation offered me the role of a Data Analyst, the task of analyzing financial data using AI-assisted tools to identify customers who are at risk of defaulting on payments in a bank.

On paper, this sounds technical but in practice, it is a strategic decision- making that decides the future of the company.

Each pattern represented missed obligations, customer behavior and many more metrics.

Designing a predictive approach includes analytical exercise, thinking about fairness of model predictions, accuracy, and ethical implications.

The project included proposing an AI-driven strategy to handle collections responsibly while balancing business interests with an objective of helping customers get the best experience out of the service offered.
