Saturday marked only the second time that Manny Machado, Fernando Tatis Jr. and Xander Bogaerts have all homered in the same game.

The first time was April 29, 2023.

Machado was 2-for-4 with a double and his 10th home run for two RBIs. It was Machado’s third multi-extra-base-hit game in the season and his fourth multi-RBI game in the last 10 games. He has four home runs and 10 RBIs over the last 10 games.

Tatis was 2-for-5 Saturday with his first home run of the season. He is 19-for-44 (.432) over his last 12 games.

PADRES HISTORY:

May 31, 2005 — The Padres defeat the Mets 8–4 at Petco Park to finish May with a 22–6 record, their best-single month record in franchise history. The win is also the Padres 11th straight at home, another franchise record.

RHP Miguel Mendez, 23, the Padres’ №3 prospect, allowed 2 hits and a walk with 4 strikeouts in 3 scoreless innings for Double-A San Antonio Saturday in his fourth start since returning from the injured list, lowering his earned run average to 4.76. RF Tirso Ornelas (.261), the №24 prospect, was 1-for-3 with a stolen base.

RF Jase Bowen (.288), the Padres’ №23 prospect, was 0-for-3 with 2 walks, a stolen base and 2 runs for Triple-A El Paso. Starting LHP JP Sears (4–1, 6.93) gave up 5 runs on 4 hits and 3 walks with 7 strikeouts in 5 innings to earn the win. RHP David Morgan (6.97) pitched a perfect inning of relief.

DH Lamar King Jr. (.247), the Padres’ №14 prospect, was 0-for-3 with a walk and a stolen base for High Single-A Fort Wayne.

CF Ryan Wideman (.307), the Padres’ №7 prospect, had a double in 4 at-bats for Single-A Lake Elsinore.

TRIPLE-A EL PASO (25–31) — Chihuahuas 13, ALBUQUERQUE 7: DH Pablo Reyes (.340) had 3 doubles in 4 at-bats with 2 RBIs and 2 runs. 2B Marcos Castañon (.292) was 2-for-4 with a home run, 2 RBIs and 2 runs. CF Carlos Rodriguez (.287) had a 2-run homer in 4 at-bats with a sacrifice fly. LF Nick Schnell (.226) had a 2-run home run in 5 at-bats.

DOUBLE-A SAN ANTONIO (20–30) — MISSIONS 1, Corpus Christi 0: RHP Eric Yost (3.07) allowed a hit and 2 walks with 2 strikeouts in 1 2/3 innings. RHP Andrew Moore (2.55) issued a walk with 4 strikeouts in 1 2/3 IPs.

HIGH SINGLE-A FORT WAYNE (23–27) — SOUTH BEND 7, TinCaps 0: Starting RHP Abraham Parra (0–4, 6.08) gave up 5 runs (4 earned) on 4 hits and 3 walks with 7 strikeouts in 5 1/3 innings.

SINGLE-A LAKE ELSINORE (29–21) — STORM 2, Inland Empire 0: Starting RHP Tyler Schmitt (3–3, 4.62) gave up 4 hits and 3 walks with 9 strikeouts in 6 scoreless innings. RHP Nick Falter (2.08) allowed 2 hits and a walk with 3 Ks in 2 scoreless IPs. RHP Will Koger (3.79) gave up a hit in a scoreless IP for his fifth save.
