In the 80s as teens they began performing together as Suburban Nightmare. They became a little bit popular in the Chicago area. Most of their shows last 10–15 minutes due to injuries either in the crowd or on stage. There also known for self mutilation on stage too. In 1990, they released Bloods Guts And P*ssy. They started becoming even more hardcore after this album released. Other releases in 1991 included Thank Heaven For Little Girls and Lucifer’s Crank. In 1993, they tried to fake the death of their guitarists but they failed. They also released Sugarfix in 1993. In 1997, they released The Dwarves Are Young And Good Looking. In 2000 a follow-up to the album was released and called The Dwarves Come Clean. In 2004, they released another album under a different record label. The album was called The Dwarves Must Die.

The band is known for there simple yet loud music. There album covers also are super controversial. They released 15 albums and 4 EPs. They’ve had 20 past members and maybe even more. There is currently 6 members actively playing. There’s been some side projects by members too.
