Privacy is a feature. Confidential execution is a structural upgrade.

What Fhenix is building with FHE and encrypted computation is not just about hiding data. It’s about redefining how information exists and moves inside the EVM. When state can remain encrypted and still be computed on, the assumptions behind DeFi design begin to shift.

Redact, in this context, is not just a testnet product. It is an early interface into that new reality.

From Transparent Systems to Selective Disclosure

DeFi today is built on radical transparency. Every action, every intent, every intermediate state is visible by default. This enabled composability, but it also created structural inefficiencies, especially around MEV and strategy leakage.

First, protocols will start experimenting with native confidential primitives. Not just shielding existing logic, but designing entirely new mechanisms that rely on hidden state.

Second, MEV dynamics will begin to shift. Not disappear, but evolve. When intent is protected, extraction becomes harder, and new forms of coordination emerge.

Third, user expectations will change. Just like wallets normalized signing transactions, interfaces like Redact may normalize interacting with encrypted state.

At that point, confidential execution stops being a niche. It becomes a baseline.
