A mí y a ti.

Estamos destinados a cometer errores. Incluso a repetirlos.

Tal vez me esté equivocando. Pero, ¿y qué? Otro grano de arena en la playa.

Me equivoqué. Me equivoqué. No quise equivocarme.

A toda costa. Mejorarlos.

The truth is: it’s a good thing.

It’s a good thing I failed and lost. It’s a good thing that, of the times I made an effort, I didn’t succeed. When I prepared and it didn’t end well. It’s a good thing for all those times I perfected everything I touched and no one noticed. It’s a good thing for all the times I avoided saying bad words and no one cared. It’s a good thing for having made mistakes thousands, if not millions, of times.

For having walked. For having gone right instead of left. For having gotten on that bus at that time. For having waited. For having left quickly.

It’s a good thing for the nights of darkness I went through. It’s a good thing for the possible traumas I have carried. It’s a good thing for the times I fell ill. It’s a good thing for having misspoken. The truth is, it’s a good thing for all my mistakes and imperfections. For the times I fell and got hurt. For the times I hurt others. For the times I lied. To myself and to you.

It’s a good thing.

All these actions and realities become an exhausting, never-ending list. In the end, I won’t be able to say: “it’s a good thing I died”… for obvious reasons. But these mistakes don’t stop there. They will continue. It’s a good thing the chaos will continue after my departure, just as it has throughout the existence of life.

It’s a good thing.

And it’s a good thing, because that is how we should see everything and nothing. Our actions take us to a different place. We live with thousands of wrong decisions to make. We try to choose based on what we know, what we have, what we feel. But even with all the information available in the world, every decision leads us, inevitably, to some kind of mistake.

They are inevitable. They are natural.

We are destined to make mistakes. Even to repeat them. Only that some have better mistakes than others. But that is also known afterward. Without having the slightest idea. Without being able to see it while it happens.

Maybe I am making a mistake. But so what? Another grain of sand on the beach.

I made a mistake. I made a mistake. I didn’t mean to make a mistake. I would like to turn back time to have changed something. But what for? To make a mistake again?

Mistakes are beautiful. We can let go and learn from these teachers. Or not. Maybe it would be a mistake not to learn from mistakes. Or maybe it would be a mistake to learn too much from them. Maybe our simple existence was a mistake, no matter how planned it was. Maybe being alive is a mistake. Our very existence.

But, despite all this, we still have responsabilidades. Decisions. We, who can decide, must avoid the worst mistakes. At all costs. Improve them. Make the most beautiful mistakes we can think of or imagine.

That should be the mission. That should be the purpose.

Because it is natural. It is part of existing. Of being present. Of being.
