The Colony of Ants was Building a Monument Today

Writing Prompt: Have you ever felt like an ant in a colony?

It was one of those days, when I was sitting and relaxing in the sunshine. It was a very warm day. I saw a large colony of ants in the garden. They were all very busy and this is their story.

They walk like soldiers, these black ants, One behind the other, moving in a rhythm together. These are busy ants, ants are always so busy. Till someone stamps on one and they curl up. If they are not crushed, they start walking again.

The ants were moving so systematically, There were doing their work practically. The ants did not stop to stare or look around, A busier ant colony I have not seen or found.

The long line of ants, glistened in the sunshine, Like a moving necklace of tiny black pearls. They were each carrying small grains of rice, They had found or that was discarded by mice.

It seemed like the ants were building something. They had a picture in their heads and needed no direction. Have you ever felt like an ant in a busy ant colony? Is working non-stop your life and your chosen destiny?

The colony of ants was building a colony today. What have you done today in the sunshine? Were you as a creative writer and creator inspired, To write something of value today?
