LITTLE FEELS OF HUGS.
LITTLE FEELS OF HUGS.
1) GETTING FLOWERS GIFTED :
Oh my god, I don’t think people truly understand the feeling of receiving flowers. Especially for someone like me, who absolutely loves them, I don’t think I could ever get enough. There’s just something so soft and comforting about knowing someone saw a bunch of flowers and thought of you.
I once read somewhere that when someone gifts you flowers, notice how long they last. If they stay fresh for days, it means the person who gave them to you had the purest intentions for you. Now, I don’t know how true that actually is, but honestly, it feels nice to believe it could be.
So if no one is gifting you flowers right now, gift yourself some. Trust me, it still feels like a hug.
2) HANDWRITTEN LETTERS :
In a world full of quick and disappearing messages, handwritten letters will always win. The effort behind writing someone a letter feels so special to me that I know I would preserve it for an entire lifetime. You could write me a long paragraph on WhatsApp or just a short note in a letter, and honestly, I would always choose the latter.
There’s something so personal about seeing someone’s handwriting, knowing they sat down and took out time just for you. And honestly, that goes for anything handmade too. Handmade things carry such deep love because, in some way, someone spent their time creating something only to see a smile on your face.
3) CHECK IN MESSAGES :
Just taking a minute to check in on someone can go a much longer way than people realise. Life gets busy, everyone gets caught up in their own worlds, and that’s exactly why someone simply trying to be there in their own small way, saying “I’m right here” feels like a hug.
On some random Thursday afternoon, someone remembered you. Someone paused their day just to ask how you were doing. I don’t think people realise how special that is. And honestly, I don’t think it’s that difficult to do either.
So whoever is reading this, if you’re thinking about checking in on someone, text them or call them right away. And if you don’t usually check in on your people, maybe this is your sign to start doing it a little more often.
4) A CURATED PLAYLIST :
Making a playlist with a bunch of their favourite songs? Can you imagine that, isn’t this one of the cutest gestures ever? There’s something so special about knowing someone carefully picked songs that reminded them of you or songs they know you would love.
And then every time they hear those songs, they’ll think of you. It almost feels like someone dedicated tiny pieces of their heart to you through lyrics and melodies.
Okay, maybe I’m just a huge lover girl when it comes to things like this, but genuinely, I would play that playlist on loop.

5) TO REMEMBER THE SMALLEST DETAILS :
Brownie points for people who pay attention to the little things, the observing game truly matters. Wearing their favourite scent, remembering their exact coffee order, showing up in their favourite coloured t-shirt, noticing the tiny phrases they overuse without even realising, knowing their comfort food by heart… trust me, the list is way too long and I could keep going forever.
Personally, I feel like these things win hearts more than grand gestures ever do. Don’t get me wrong, grand gestures are beautiful too, but these tiny details? These are the things that quietly stay with you. The things you randomly remember at 2 a.m., and every single time you do, they hug you the tightest.
6) MAKING THEIR BIRTHDAY SPECIAL :
This is a complete bingo point for me. I am not talking about grand gestures, but simply making someone feel loved in their own language. There’s something so heartwarming about knowing that someone went out of their way just to make you feel special.
For me, I’m a little cuckoo when it comes to birthdays. My birthday and my people’s birthdays genuinely feel like festivals to me, and honestly, I think that’s exactly how it should be. The little birthday details means everything, showing up at their house at 12 a.m. with a cake, decorating their room, planning tiny surprises throughout the day.
And okay, I absolutely love presents, so for people like me, being gifted something thoughtful or having someone plan the entire day for you feels incredibly adorable. Because at the end of it all, it’s never really about the money or the extravagance. It’s about someone trying their hardest to make you feel celebrated and loved for simply existing.
7) BEING WRITTEN ABOUT :
Okay, if there is someone out there who loves to write, then writing about someone is insanely special. Like, seeing yourself in someone else’s words? I swear, with every line of this blog my heart is genuinely going “aww.”
There’s something so beautiful about knowing that someone felt something so deeply about you that they had to write it down. Out of all the things they could have written about, they chose you. And I don’t just mean this romantically. Even in friendships or platonic relationships, being written about feels like the warmest hug.
8) EATING FROM SOMEONE’S HAND :
I don’t know if this sounds silly, but food genuinely tastes sweeter when someone feeds you with their own hands. I have eaten most of my meals from my mum’s hands growing up, and honestly, who hasn’t? Somehow even the food you dislike starts tasting better. It’s one of the most comforting feelings ever. Even today, whenever I feel low, one of the first things I do is ask my mum to feed me.
What can honestly beat this feeling? In my opinion, absolutely nothing. ;(
9) GETTING CLICKED RANDOMLY :
Coming from someone who loves capturing moments and loves being captured too, this has to be one of the cutest gestures ever. Because like… aww, you looked at me, thought I looked cute in that moment, and decided to click a picture of me? That is SO special to me.
And it feels even more special when they click it on their own phone. It’s almost like they want to keep that moment, that version of you, with them. A tiny memory saved without you even asking for it.
I know these are such small gestures, but tell me honestly don’t they make your heart smile a little?
10) GIFT FROM PLACES THEY VISITED :
This is genuinely adorable because someone remembering you even while they’re away, shopping for you while shopping for themselves that is beyond cute to me. I have someone in my life who, no matter where they go, will always bring something back for me.
And honestly, the point is never what they got. The point is that in the middle of an entirely different place, they still had the thought of, “Oh, she’ll like this. I should get this for her.”
There’s something so soft about being remembered in moments where you weren’t even physically present. It actually feels like the warmest hug.
I genuinely feel so privileged to have experienced all these little things, and trust me, the list could go on forever. I could probably sit and write pages and pages about moments like these. But at the end of the day, all of them really are just tiny feels of hugs.
