'Writing is a beautiful form of existence'

Says Mila Haugová, slovak poet and writer during her poetry reading.

This weekend happened to be a special one for a city in Slovakia, Trenčín. It was named the European Capital of Culture 2026 together with Oulu in Finland.

Stunning atmosphere, lights and crowds of people were walking the streets of Trenčín and attending events happening all around the city. I found myself sitting on the floor of completely packed centre for culture Hviezda during musical-poetry performance of poet Mila Haugová and musicians Robert Pospiš and Martin Sillay.

Writing as a form of existence, writing as lonely activity… Mila says. But still I found her words to be magically vibrating together with the music, creating strong presence and guiding us deeply into her world.

Life as an art piece, living as a creative act. Reminding me of Julia Cameron's 'Artist way' and writing morning pages as part of daily routine.

What if it was possible to actually live our lives as creative act and breathe in the beauty of the moment. See the unique and the ordinary. Always find something worth finding. Always live something worth living. Meeting every day with a gratitude. With a vibrant expectancy.
