Have you ever looked at a simple task and felt resistant to doing it?

Like replying to an email, booking an appointment, or maybe folding laundry. Nothing difficult, right? Yet it feels heavier than it should.

It’s not procrastination but an overload.

Most of us aren’t just carrying today’s tasks. We’re carrying unfinished decisions, mental notes, future worries, and lots of information consumed.

So when a small task appears, it arrives in a crowded mind and feels exhausting.

The task itself isn’t always the problem. It’s the **mental clutter** surrounding it.

When I write things down, close a few open loops, or reduce the noise around me, those same tasks suddenly feel manageable again.

So, remember, sometimes you’re not avoiding the task. You’re just carrying too much.
