An uncomfortable story about continuous infidelity.

I share this story with remorse and shame, well not really. I do feel remorse and shame, but then I do it anyway. I have my cake and eat it whenever I want. I am charming but not that attractive, yet I can make any woman in the room feel special by making her believe I am sincere and want to share the world with her. I can do this because I believe in my bullshit. It’s my truth. I tried therapy to get to the bottom of it, addiction, sex addiction, behavioural issues, childhood trauma, and nothing resonated and nothing worked. I like knowing I can pluck the fruit from any tree or bush whenever I want to.

My wife caught me once a few years ago, chucked me out, and I begged, sobbed on the living room floor to take me back. I moved out for six months whilst I did the work and for a short moment in time, I was celibate and unwavering in getting back to my wife and kids full time. I travel for work, and I have learnt the patterns to help her feel safe and secure in our relationship and then I meet other women at random times and days so she thinks I am at work. These women believe that I am available but running a large corporation with limited time and will meet me whenever and however as long as I soften them up by telling them how special and sexy they are. When they arrive, I beam at them, gently touch their lower back and whisper how grateful I am to have them in my life. It’s not a lie. Before I return home, I pop into the office where my assistant takes my ‘travel suits’ to the cleaners and I take another used set home. I know she will smell them and check the pockets for clues- it’s only natural. Being caught gave me new skills to not get caught again. I love my wife, and she is amazing, but she is so naive and stupid. I almost feel sorry for her. Almost. But then I provide her with a lifestyle that influencers dream about.

I have met many men who have cheated on their wives for various reasons/excuses. I also know men who have cheated and I reached out to them for help in understanding why they did and why they stopped, especially those who re-married. This man isn’t someone I know, and I don’t know his wife or his social scene. However, he opened my eyes to the various types of cheating partners.
