The question ‘What have you been up to these days?’ has been making me stumble. ‘Oh, just taking care of the kids,’ I’d say. They’d frown upon me. This year, I decided to reframe my answer — not as a parent, but as a founder. Here is my year in review:

To everyone who’s been asking what I’ve been up to this past year… well, I’ve launched a few new ventures. All are united by my expertise in early-years education, skill development, and holistic life improvement. I’m a keen observer of how little minds grow, and I’m always looking to optimize time and energy in the best way possible. After all, our kids are our most important project.
As the founder and chief observer, I identified critical market gaps. Parents are time-poor, children are over-scheduled, and foundational needs are being overlooked. My solutions are disruptive:
1. The Lost Art of Listening
My first venture tackles a big problem: listening. Science shows that a deficit in active listening leads to suboptimal emotional and social ROI in our key demographic (ages 2–8). In young kids, a year of active listening acts like steroids for emotional and mental development. But with parents having busy schedules and screen time as a tough competitor, our kids are getting deprived of this much-needed necessity. So I started a dedicated listening service, “The Listening Mind.” I provide a platform where my young clients can talk about anything — not to an empty ear, but to a present mind ready to engage and prompt them. We work on communication, storytelling, and even hardcore negotiation skills (you try getting a turn to speak in a group of three preschoolers!). Since their calendars are fuller than a CEO’s, we leverage niche time-slots — commute windows, bedtime transitions, meal interfaces — for maximum engagement. The results have been amazing. The result? Creativity is up, storytelling is more elaborate, negotiation skills are enhanced (the “can I talk first?” protocol is a core module), and emotional resilience is stronger. Client feedback has been overwhelmingly positive.
2. Integrated Learning & Life Design
My second venture is a life-enhancement program. The problem at hand: Unstructured skill acquisition and inefficient time allocation. Through the “Young Navigator Program,” we aim for excellence. We run integrated experiments like “Project Earth-Magnet” and “The Trapezium Deconstruction Initiative” and much more to consolidate STEM learning with a hands-on and interactive approach. These hands-on projects help concepts stick in a way textbooks just don’t. We also analyze client data to recommend personalized athletic modules (soccer vs. karate, based on rigorous toddler temperament analysis). Additionally, we schedule mandatory “steam-venting” sessions and facilitate peer networking events (aka playdates) in green, outdoor environments.
3. Nutrition as Foundation
My third venture was born from a simple, frustrating fact: you can’t rely on ordinary meals to meet a picky eater’s nutritional needs. Deficiencies are a real threat, and critical nutritional gaps can cause vulnerability in the immune system and reduce energy output. My solution is “Nourishing Roots”, a nutrient-rich, homemade meal delivery system. We provide 4–8 strategically timed meals daily: Breakfast, School Lunch, Post-School Snack, Lunch, Post-Lunch Snack, Pre-Dinner Appetizer, Dinner, and Optional Pre-Bed Nibbling. Everything is made from scratch with zero processed ingredients. We’re talking fresh cow milk, free-range eggs, homemade ghee and butter, homegrown veggies, and desi chicken. No injected chemicals, no hormones — just pure food so they don’t have to worry about what’s on their plate.
To support this, I even co-founded a farm-to-table supply venture with my father-in-law, “Professor’s Farm,” delivering that same pure milk, eggs, and pesticide-free vegetables.
And for my own professional development and to stay relevant to my previous career field? I’m taking online courses in economics to stay sharp.
So, there you have it. My year in review. The next time someone wonders what a stay-at-home mom does all day, you can tell them: I’m the Founder, CEO, and Chief Operations Officer of a full-scale human development firm. My clients are demanding, the hours are 24/7, but the retention rate is 100%.
This exercise wasn’t just satire; it was a revelation. Framing the endless, often invisible labor of caregiving as the skilled, strategic, and demanding work it truly is changed my own perspective. It’s management, logistics, R&D, and emotional labor all rolled into one 24/7 role. Whether you’re a stay-at-home parent or not, I encourage you to audit your skills and draft your own ‘CEO report.’ You might be surprised by the impressive venture you’re already running.
PS: The last venture is a real one. “Professor’s Farm” is committed to provide you with fresh, pure cow milk and organic eggs.
