The Forgotten Fruit Salad 😔🍎

“Ali is coming with family”

Last evening my husband suddenly exploded at my head, saying this. And me?

I was about to enjoy my fruit salad (on which I had sprinkled my favourite black salt), so I went and put it in the kitchen with a cover.

Whenever I cover something, I forget about i🙆

Sometimes I even forget about the food I have covered in the fridge. The thing that is covered is not visible; that’s why, (My lame excuses🤐)

(Maybe short-term memory loss🙈)

Well, I was telling you that my husband’s friend suddenly made a plan to visit us. I had planned to go out, so that I could see the lights and the festivities of August 14(Independence day) but🕵

Well, now I had to welcome the guests. I looked around the house; the house was clean and tidy because today my new L-shaped sofa arrived, so I happily set it up😂. My husband always talks as if the guests have arrived at the door, even though they arrived an hour later. Anyhow, by then I had ordered refreshments for them; I served them samosas, chicken rolls with cold drinks and chatted with his wife. Being an introvert, I don’t know how to talk much.

I talked a little about the children and cursed the government for raising prices so much, and that’s it. I was tired from talking this much, and result…headache🤕

Thankfully, those people realized it was night, so they left. In the morning I went to the kitchen; I had to send my daughter to school.

What did i see?

My fruit salad was waiting for me on the kitchen shelf. Ah! I don’t eat stale fruit, so I was very sad to see it go to waste.

I feel very sad to see food go to waste; I often give the leftover food to the maid. Well, nothing could happen now; I’ll try to remember in the future. I made a promise to myself as usual and fell asleep again😴
