Technology around us comes in a multitude of forms, factors, instances, and applications, and it has become so commoditized that we simply take it for granted and do not try to distinguish it from any form of magic.

Is that really so? The Program Committee selected a lineup of speakers from multiple countries across the world: Cyprus, Poland, Serbia, Germany, Spain, Portugal, Armenia, Czechia, Luxembourg, United Kingdom, Netherlands, United States, India, Saudi Arabia.

We anticipate that 75% of attendees will be employed in positions like Staff Engineer, Principal Engineer and higher. The remaining 25% are expected to be those in technology leadership positions such as CTO and higher.

Technology for the sake of technology makes little practical sense, and the overall complexities tend to lie in the intersections of different technological components, and not necessarily within isolated ones. Systems are built out of components, but the whole is always greater than its parts, and it takes quite a lot more than just knowing the components themselves to build a system.

We will focus on topics that are applicable and practically common across all possible selections of tools, platforms, and frameworks. We aim not to show how one might use a specific instance of technology in a unique and non-replicable use case. The main goal is to discover how the fundamentals of the underlying technology work.”

Peter Zaitsev is the CEO and co-founder of Percona. His talk explores the current state and future developments of AI in SQL and data analytics. It highlights how AI techniques enhance SQL-based data analytics, enabling faster and more accurate insights. Challenges of data quality, interpretability, and privacy are discussed along with ongoing research efforts in explainable AI and privacy-preserving techniques. Future developments include automated query optimization, intelligent data visualization, and integration with emerging database architectures. Transaction security for crypto currency services: why and how? by Dmitry Golubev from Stasis

Since more and more fintech companies start using crypto operations, the security of crypto operations becomes very important.

• Why security of crypto-transactions is important for companies using crypto operations.

• Comparison of hardware and software methods for protecting private keys of crypto wallets.

• An implementation of a software architecture that protects the private keys of hot wallets and ensures the security of crypto transactions.

GitOPS: View from a security perspective by Aleksandr Sungurov from Exness

Alexander will talk about the principles and tools to control security and risks associated with using laC and GitOps in a company. You will dive into the concepts of securing a set of infrastructure on the example of a ready-made user story, which includes the creation of automated change management processes in laC.

— Immersion into GitOps. Approach highlights. Pros and cons of the approach.

— Deep dive into the application of the “Infrastructure as Code” approach.

— Unveiling the concept of automating controls using the “Policy as Code” approach.

— Challenges of version control systems as a single source of truth impacting the entire Prod environment.

— Integration methodologies of SAST (Static Application Security Testing) for IaC (Infrastructure as Code) and additional controls for implementing the change approval process.

— Personal experience and frequently encountered issues.
