Ironically‚ I am reminded of a lyrical quote from one of my favorite artists‚

＂A flower doesn’t even know how pretty it is‚ ever in its life․ Isn’t that sad?＂

In this song‚ he speaks to girls and tells them to be ambitious․

This Rising‚ I want to speak to all of you․ Every Last One․

Ambition is not arrogance․ Nor is it greed․ It is knowing your worth before the world acknowledges it․ It is the quiet fire that burns within․ Too often‚ we underestimate ourselves‚ waiting for someone else to recognize our beauty‚ our power‚ our potential․ But a flower does not bloom because it is told to‚ it blooms because it must․

Do not wait for permission to exist in your fullness․ Do not shrink․ Do not dim your light to make others comfortable․

Do not ask the world if you are worthy․ Decide that you are․ Move with purpose‚ like the outcome is inevitable because it is․

Be ambitious․ Do not settle․ Do not second-guess․ Do not wait for someone to tell you that you deserve more․ You already do․
