Backtrace Development Update: Demo Progress, New Art

Demo Progress

We have a demo build and play tested it at Fanime last weekend! This is such a huge milestone for us. We’ve been ramping up marketing and polishing off features for this moment. Got so much great feedback from the convention. We’ll run a super secret Discord play testing session once I iron out all the issues. Join the Discord if you want to participate in the play testing. ;-)

I wrote more about our experience at Fanime here. I couldn’t have done it without my friends so I want to give a huge shout out to Shoe, Jordan, Zug and Aishi for staffing the booth. I’m so grateful for you all!

New Art and Animations

Lemonana Pink (animator) finished Amara’s character art and animation and I imported it into the game. She’s looking so stylish! So much better than the placeholder. We’re particularly proud of her shading given our game’s limited resolution.

Amara is the big boss lady. I’ll write a proper introduction post later on.
