The Lunar Society International — Challenging Conventions Under the Full Moon

Have you ever felt that some of society’s most important assumptions go unquestioned?

  • Do you ask questions that others seem uninterested in exploring?
  • Do you wonder why intelligent people accept ideas simply because they are popular, traditional, or widely repeated?

If so — you may have found your people.

The Lunar Society International brings together thoughtful individuals from around the world who enjoy examining assumptions, challenging conventional thinking, and exploring questions that shape human lives.

Each month, on or near the full moon, we gather online for open and respectful discussion (in English).

We do not gather to win arguments. We do not gather to promote ideologies. We gather to think.

Our inspiration comes from the original Lunar Society of Birmingham — whose members included Erasmus Darwin, Joseph Priestley, and James Watt — curious minds who helped shape the modern world. More than two centuries later, we continue that tradition: not to defend or reject convention, but to examine it.

The first Lunar Society in Latin America was founded in Quito, Ecuador, under the auspices of Universidad San Francisco de Quito. Through The Lunar Society International, that conversation now expands beyond borders.

If you are intellectually curious — if you enjoy examining assumptions and believe thoughtful dialogue still matters — we invite you to join us beneath the next full moon.

Limited to 20 participants to encourage meaningful discussion

Online • monthly • conducted in English
