In a world of business too much stereotype can hold back growth and profit

I have seen too many business opportunities slide because of how hiring companies and businesses hire.

I believe too much emphasis is based on stereotype and holds back profit and growth in the way that hiring for Degrees over real life experience can lose profit for the company. I see this in that the higher education diploma where they earned their diploma for the job field, but they have not learned the skills to add to the education for profitable results.

Training takes time. It means you are held back on production or progress because the person has the knowledge without the experience. It will take some time to even determine if they have the skills or instinct to handle complicated tasks that might come up. Not every experienced employee will have the same depth of the job description, perhaps larger or smaller types of the job tasks. Maybe they were handling all the tasks on a smaller scale for each task. Maybe they are experienced in at least 2 task categories and have shown great achievement in growth. Everyone has the potential to grow but do they have the potential to use what they learned more than what they will learn hands on? Isn’t expertise from experience? So, isn’t long-term experience pretty much the degree?

I believe if we all change our perspectives on stereotypes we might advance more not on in the business word but the world itself. I believe with the right perspectives we not only grow and make profit because we have experienced teaching the educated the experience, but we will also do this together while skills grow, minds grow, ideas grow and the love of what we do together grows.

To all the businesses out there hiring, remember, everyone has a brain but not everyone has the access to higher education. Don’t limit your business’ profitability and the possibly of how much you can do not only for your business but your entire community and the future of recognizing opportunities in smart, teachable, experienced employees who already did the learning hands on to some extent. They also can be of help to others to gain that experience too many hiring businesses want but don’t help build. Sort of selfish isn’t it? Do your part. Respect experience and use it to help grow experience to grow business production and profit.
