Hero Vida VX2 Launched at ₹59,490 — A More Affordable, Family-Friendly Electric Scooter

Hero MotoCorp’s electric arm, Vida, has introduced its most budget-friendly offering yet — the Vida VX2. Aimed at family riders and urban commuters, the VX2 starts at just ₹59,490 for the base Go variant under the Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) plan. Prices go up to ₹1.10 lakh for the top-end Plus model with batteries included (all prices ex-showroom, Delhi).

The VX2 is available in two variants: Go, which comes with a 2.2kWh battery and offers a claimed IDC range of 92km, and Plus, with a larger 3.4kWh battery delivering up to 142km. Customers can opt for the BaaS model, where you purchase the scooter minus the battery and lease the battery separately. Hero promises a running cost as low as ₹0.96/km. Under BaaS, if the battery health drops below 70%, Hero will replace it at no extra cost.

Design-wise, the VX2 adopts a more family-oriented appearance compared to the earlier Vida V2. It features smoother lines, a wider single-piece seat, a pillion backrest, and a reshaped handlebar cowl. The headlamp, indicators, and tail-light are similar to the V2, while an optional front-mounted plastic frunk adds practicality.

In terms of storage, the Go variant offers a larger 33.2-litre boot, while the Plus has a slightly smaller 27.2-litre space due to its dual-battery layout. Charging with the standard 580W charger takes just under 4 hours for the Go and about 5.5 hours for the Plus. Both variants also support fast charging — up to 80% in 1 hour and 100% in 2 hours.

The VX2 rides on 12-inch wheels and is expected to share most of its chassis with the V2. The Go variant comes equipped with a front drum brake, while both versions have different top speeds — 70kph for Go and 80kph for Plus.

A 4.3-inch LCD display is standard on the Go variant, while the Plus variant gets a more premium 4.3-inch TFT screen. Both versions support connected features and come with a physical key. As for riding modes, the Go includes Eco and Ride, while the Plus adds a third Sport mode.

The VX2 is offered in a total of seven colours: blue, black, yellow, red, white, grey, and orange — though grey and orange are exclusive to the Plus.
