One risk, One ride, One lesson.
My legs were numb. And my riding made people think I am dumb. First I was taught by my sweet grandfather. Where he sat back, held me to go farther.
I didn’t think I would make it, Because I am short and unfit. With unbalanced speed, I tried staying calm, While tightly gripping the handles in my palm.
Then came my mischievous uncle to accompany me. He told me to ride but I wasn’t ready. Somehow I agreed, and I don’t regret. Because what happened next, I’ll never forget.
He took me on road and told me to ride. Sat back behind and let courage be my guide. While I stumbled and trembled in fear, He cheered me on from the rear.
We drove till a bridge where we caught the sunset, While countless birds flew by, a fascinating sight I’ll never forget. We drove back home, my heart full of bliss, A beautiful experience no one should miss.
I learnt today: Mistakes and failures are steps to grow, Without taking risks, we go nowhere we know. Life speeds up and slows down along the way, Believe in yourself, and ride through every day.
I’d like to express my appreciation to these two remarkable men for teaching me this valuable lesson.
