A short essay on love

You are not trying to find someone who loves you. You are trying to find someone who can trigger the generation of love inside you.

You are happiest when you love. Not when someone loves you, and you don’t love them back. In this case, you get pleasure out of the validation it gives you. Nothing compared to the former case. We seek validation when we feel empty inside. This emptiness, this void, can only be filled with Love, nothing else.

I realized that loving God is the easiest. You generate love inside — mission accomplished. There’s no fear of hurt.

Loving people is hard. Unless you are self-realized yourself. Or they are. Most of us aren’t. The more hurt we are, the more traumatized we are — the more we tend to hurt people we love. Our own unresolved issues create a cacophony of hurt, guilt, blame, and hatred. The purity of love gets marred with desire, hope, expectation, obsession, want, greed, need — so much.

I salute people who can love people — the hardest thing to do and keep doing. If somewhere beneath there’s love in pure form, you will find strength and battle all the other impurities. And love will teach you how to love, in its purest form.

Now, in conclusion, isn’t that great? You need no one to be your happiest. You are just searching for a trigger to generate the love inside you. And it can be anything. Just anything!! Or, nothing!! Or, everything!!
