All about ChatGPT document Summarizer

The most popular chatbot on the planet, ChatGPT, can now summarize PDFs and other documents directly on submitting to its Window! It can now directly take the raw PDF and will summarize, analyze, interpret it for you. No need to follow lengthy file conversion from PDF to text or to other document using other AI tools, instead simply give your file to ChatGPTs AI Chatbot and it will automatically summarize it for you!

ChatGPT was introduced in November 2022, since then the chatbot has seen tremendous growth with some positive timely updates which are setting the benchmark to the AI Chatbot Industry! But PDF Summarizer is surely my favorite tool under the current ChatGPTs GPT-4 model!

But there’s a catch to this feature! This tool is limited to ChatGPT plus users! So its not free to use. ChatGPT plus users have now the ability to upload PDFs into their chatbot systems and can ask simultaneous questions! Uploading PDF and other file formats is just another feature of ChatGPT other than content creation and problem solving!

ChatGPT plus is a membership that opens doors to more advance GPT-4 model architecture and features! It is based on ChatGPTs multimodal feature which helps switching between various models like data analysis, summarizer and DALL-E3(Image generation AI model). In a nutshell ChatGPT can automatically switch between tools to analyze, visualize, summarize and interpret data. You don’t have to do it manually!

Here are the steps you need to follow in order to summarize PDF and other documents :

1. Go to ChatGPTs official website.
2. Head to GPT selector to select latest GPT-4 model in dropdown menu.
3. Drag and Drop your PDF or other file to the ChatGPT window. It will be processed, analyzed and uploaded!
4. Use prompts to guide ChatGPT what to do next. Like “Summarize PDF”, “Key findings from PDF” or “Summarize this PDF in 100 words” and more like these!
5. Ask follow up questions to summarize better and for fine tuning.
6. ChatGPT will summarize the PDF for you!

I think this is the best feature you can find in the current ChatGPTs GPT-4 architecture! GPT-4 is a multimodal large language model created by OpenAI, and is the fourth in the series of GPT foundation models. GPT-4 uses a paradigm where pre training using public and data licensed from 3rd party providers is used to predict the next token! GPT-5 is the upcoming model of ChatGPT models and we will have to see what best it can offer to the users. PDF Summarizer is I think the coolest feature you can see in GPT-4 architecture!

ChatGPT can also draw charts from the data as well. Summarizing is one such feature of many features of ChatGPT which can help in quick decision making, time saving etc.

Let’s summarize the possible workflow of PDF Summarizer which I can’t find anywhere on the Internet! First comes Image Recognition Algorithms to recognize images, then NLP to understand words, then Deep learning to generate outputs, and then data mining to analyze data, and then correction algorithms to learn from mistakes! In case you ever want to build a PDF Summarizer in your own chatbot, you don’t need to follow hard steps, just use OpenAI’s PDF summarizer API and can use NodeJS to build the application!
