A Journey of Growth, Connection, and Transformation

The last Fellowship session, “Taking Flight 🕊,” was an emotional and transformative experience for all of us. It was a moment to reflect on our three-month journey together, and as I think back to that session, I am filled with gratitude for everything I have learned, the connections I’ve made, and the incredible growth I’ve experienced through the Amal Academy Fellowship.

The Power of Connection

One of the most memorable parts of the final session was when each fellow shared their emotional words, reflecting on how the Fellowship had changed their lives. It was a deeply moving experience, and I felt fortunate to be surrounded by such a supportive and thoughtful group of people. We all spoke about the challenges we had faced, how we had grown, and the impact this journey had on us. The energy in the room was filled with sincerity and warmth, and I could feel the bond we had formed.

This moment really made me realize the importance of connecting with others on a deeper level. In a world where we often focus on work, deadlines, and tasks, we sometimes forget the value of simply talking and connecting for our emotional uplift. These moments of human connection are not just beneficial for our mental and emotional health, but they also help us build relationships that last. Going forward, I plan to keep in touch with my Amal Family and continue fostering these relationships by engaging in regular check-ins and supporting one another, both personally and professionally.

The Lessons I’ll Carry Forward

Amal Academy has taught me so much over the past few months, and the lessons will continue to guide me in my future endeavors. The principles I learned — Amal, Khudi (self-empowerment), Kam Kam oar Kam (consistency and hard work), and Aik oar Aik Gyara (collaboration and support) — have truly shaped my approach to life and work. These principles are not just words; they are the foundation of how I now set and pursue my goals. I no longer approach my work passively; instead, I am proactive, determined, and driven.

The sessions with our incredible facilitators, Ma’am Amna Nasir and Ma’am Nida Imran, played a significant role in shaping this transformation. I will forever cherish the way they encouraged participation and fostered an environment where each of us felt heard. I vividly remember how, every time I raised my hand to speak, they would say, “Now Noreen will speak,” and those words always brought a smile to my face. It made me feel confident, valued, and capable.

The Impact of Breakout Room Activities

Another aspect of the Fellowship that stands out to me is the breakout room activities. These sessions were a beacon of knowledge, where we worked together to solve problems, brainstorm innovative ideas, and support each other in finding solutions. It was amazing to see how people from different professional backgrounds — engineers, psychologists, teachers, nutritionists, finance experts, and more — came together to tackle challenges and create solutions. These collaborative efforts were enriching, and I truly appreciated the diverse perspectives everyone brought to the table.

A Journey of Personal and Professional Growth

This Fellowship has not only helped me grow personally but also professionally. The skills I developed through the Passenger Series — such as interview preparation, communication skills, and confidence-building — have been invaluable. One of the most significant impacts was the Super Hero Resume and Cover Letter workshop, which has left a lasting mark on me. Before this Fellowship, my path was unclear, my goals were blurry, and I lacked confidence in my abilities. Now, I approach my future with a clearer vision and a strong sense of purpose.

Thanks to Amal Academy, I recently applied to several firms and received an interview call and test invitation from NASTP Rawalpindi — the company I’ve always wanted to work for. This is a huge milestone for me, and I know that I wouldn’t have reached this point without the guidance and skills I gained during the Fellowship.

Excited to share the call I received from NASTP Rawalpindi — a dream opportunity that became possible through the lessons and confidence I gained at Amal Academy.

Saying Goodbye, but Not Forever

As this incredible journey comes to an end, I can’t help but feel a mix of emotions. While I will miss the engaging sessions and the lively discussions with my fellow fellows, I know that every journey has its conclusion. The lessons I’ve learned and the friendships I’ve made will stay with me as I continue on my path. I’ll forever be grateful to Amal Academy for giving me the opportunity to grow, and I look forward to the next chapter of my journey.

I am also incredibly grateful to my Batch 335 fellows for working hard and supporting one another through this experience. The online courses, weekend sessions, and weekly project work have all contributed to shaping us into the individuals we are today.

Here’s to the future, and here’s to the growth mindset that Amal Academy has instilled in me. This is just the beginning of something even greater!
