Avride Expanding Autonomous Delivery to More Than 25 University Campuses

Austin-based Avride is entering its next phase of growth across U.S. college and university campuses, significantly expanding the reach and scale of its autonomous delivery operations. The expansion doubles its active fleet to more than 1,000 active robots and builds on the company’s established campus network and partnerships with leading university dining providers.

The campus expansion is part of Avride’s broader autonomous mobility strategy. Its delivery robots and robotaxis are developed on a shared technology platform, allowing commercial operations in each business to contribute real-world experience and support continued improvements across both. Avride has completed more than 100,000 autonomous rides through Uber and logged more than 1.5 million autonomous miles across its robotaxi fleet.

More Than 25 Campuses by September

By September, Avride will have a presence on more than 25 campuses. The company has been successfully operating on the campuses of The Ohio State University, University of Arizona, Salisbury University, and Indiana University Bloomington. Since the beginning of this semester, Avride has gone live on 10 more campuses, including

• Bowling Green State University
• East Carolina University
• George Mason University
• Nova Southeastern University
• Saginaw Valley State University
• Sam Houston State University
• Southern Methodist University
• Towson University
• University of Mississippi
• University of Tennessee Knoxville

An additional 11 campuses will be up and running by the end of September. With the expansion, Avride will extend its reach to campuses representing approximately 475,000 additional students, growing its total potential student reach from approximately 136,000 to more than 610,000 — an increase of roughly 4.5 times.

Partnerships That Support Campus Expansion

Avride has also signed agreements with the nation’s three largest university dining service providers whose combined networks span approximately 1,000 colleges and universities. They also serve millions of students, creating a strong foundation for continued campus growth.

Together, the larger fleet, expanding campus footprint, and national dining-service relationships give Avride a repeatable path for continued growth. The company can build on these relationships and pursue additional campus deployments and expand individual fleets as demand develops.

Its capabilities span robot manufacturing, deployment, fleet operations, customer support, and integration with university dining programs. This operational foundation enables Avride to launch new markets quickly and scale fleets in response to demand.

Avride’s robots navigate campus routes and cross streets autonomously, with 99% of deliveries completed without human assistance. This high level of autonomy allows Avride to operate fleets efficiently and reliably while scaling service across multiple campuses.
