Effective Accelerationism (e/acc) Is Just a Script for Looting Our Corpses
The internet is currently obsessed with “Effective Accelerationism” (e/acc). Its proponents frame it as a beautiful, techno-utopian philosophy of thermodynamic inevitability: just pump more capital, compute, and code into the system, remove all regulatory friction, and let technological acceleration optimize human society.
It is a catastrophic state-estimation error. Or worse, a deliberate lie.
The “Unknown System” Delusion
The core flaw of e/acc is that it treats a highly fragile, high-friction, top-down human collective like a self-healing, predictable closed circuit. They want to run a hyper-performance engine on a chassis made of cardboard.
If you accelerate a broken, extractive infrastructure without building horizontal, peer-to-peer guardrails first, you don’t get optimization. You just get high-speed systemic collapse.
But the tech-bro elite running this script aren’t stupid. They know exactly what they are doing, and they are openly bragging about the lack of a human safety override.
The Technocratic Board of Directors
We don’t have to guess at their motives; they are explicitly logging their telemetry in public.
- Donald Trump, billionaire and current president of the USA, laid bare the political reality when he openly told a crowd that he didn’t care about them, he just wanted their votes.
- Marc Andreessen, billionaire and co-founder of the venture capital firm Andreessen-Horowitz, openly boasts about having “zero introspection,” casually dismissive of the entire concept of internal self-reflection or evaluating the human consequences of his venture capital plays.
- Elon Musk, world’s richest hundred-billionaire and owner of Tesla, SpaceX, Twitter, and several organizations to launder money between those companies, publicly declared on The Joe Rogan Experience that individual empathy is a “bug” and the “fundamental weakness of Western civilization,” framing human compassion as an exploit that needs to be patched out for the sake of “civilizational efficiency.”
When the political leadership openly admits they don’t care about the people, and the tech billionaires building the infrastructure state that empathy is a software bug and introspection is obsolete, they are exposing the true intent of the e/acc movement.
They have no intention of building a post-scarcity utopia for the baseline population. Instead, e/acc is the ultimate smoke screen. It is an intentional mechanism designed to strip-mine the remaining value from a collapsing economy, automate the filtering of the generalist workforce (via broken, automated resume parsers), and loot our corpses while leaving the working generation with zero capital, zero infrastructure, and zero safety nets.
They extract the data, pocket the yields, and then hand us out-of-touch investment advice when our generation doesn’t even have baseline investment capital to begin with.
The Resilient Counter-Strategy: Prefigurative Politics
We cannot fix this by pleading with centralized tech monopolies, nor can we wait for top-down governance to protect us from people who proudly lack introspection. The only viable response to a predatory accelerationist script is to build sovereign, horizontal infrastructure now.
Using Cognitive Systems Engineering (CSE), we can map out an Imre Lakatos-inspired research program for decentralized online syndicates that bypasses their extractive loops entirely. This requires moving away from transactional “small talk” frameworks and moving toward open-source, low-overhead systems designed for collective resilience:
- Shared System Mapping: Peer-to-peer cognitive synchronization where human collectives bond and self-organize over shared, explicit data pipelines.
- Insight Hybrid Networks: Combining the vertical “why/how” constraints of Abstraction Hierarchies with lateral cause/effect event timelines to map systemic truth in real time.
- Protective Belt Interfaces: Deploying visualizations like skills-to-requirements matrices and stakeholder desire overlap visualizations to protect local human boundaries and manage syndicate resources dynamically without compromising the core horizontal axioms.
The accelerationists want to speed up the machine to finish the strip-mining process before we notice. Our job isn’t to slow them down — it’s to hard-code an entirely different, resilient system right under their noses so we actually have a world left to inherit.
