The Introductory Episode

So, in the midst of wallowing in self-pity, I wanted to write about my likes and hobbies in extreme detail… and, looking through various blogging sites, I was struggling to decide where to write. WordPress was my first foray with the short-lived OshiDare podcast guys (rest in peace), but I realised it was too complicated for my small brain.

And then I found Medium. WordPress, but feels simpler. Anyway, enough about how we got here.

Second things second, my name’s Michael, but I mainly go by “Furuyanagi_Churin” on most parts of this world-spanning place we call the internet. There are exceptions depending on the character limit (screw you guys who use character limits on usernames), but I digress.

My main hobbies couldn’t have been any more different from one another.

The first one is Japanese idols, specifically idol groups, such as Sakurazaka46 (my current favourite group and the group at the top of this article). J-idols have been a long-time hobby of mine; I've been following groups for decades at this point.

The second of which is Warhammer. I got into Warhammer 40,000 specifically with the 10th edition, and my first combat patrol was White Scars.

That was because I was writing a piece of fanfiction that merged my love for both Sakurazaka and Warhammer, with the inspiration being characters being loosely based on members and which chapters/legions I feel fit them.

Now, though, I just build and paint whatever I want. Like these Heresy era Custodians and 40k Kravek Morne in the background there.

As I said at the beginning, this blog is primarily for me to express my feelings on various things. So, to end this off, my next blog is going to focus on how much I love Sakurazaka’s music and cinematography over their (technical) 5 years of existence.
